Bremen’s Volkshochschule runs initial orientation courses in cooperation with the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees. These initial orientation courses will support you in the initial period after arriving in Germany. You will learn about Germany in these courses and also improve your German language skills. Joint activities also form part of the courses. The courses take place four times a week in temporary accommodation or at Bremen’s Volkshochschule.
The project runs under the name “Elma” which is short for: Erfahren, lernen – miteinander ankommen (Experience, learn and arrive together).
